What could possibly be better than kicking back next to the bay, enjoying the cool breeze and crystal clear skies in sunny San Diego on a Sunday afternoon? How about 50 of SoCal's sexiest S2000s parked right behind you, a barbecue blazing, a group of friends and Honda enthusiasts to go with it?
On Sunday, July 15, S2ki.com held a meet in Mission Bay for members to join in a day of rest and relaxation, and more importantly, offered owners a chance to show off their project cars in person. On one end, a few mildly modified S2000s tastefully lowered on OEM wheels could be seen. On the other end, built and boosted S2s clad in high-end Japanese aero and high-quality rolling stock made their presence known. Optical overload took over as quality parts from Spoon, J's Racing, ASM and a host of others were strewn throughout the topless bunch. With a few events already considered a success in both L.A. and San Diego, you'll need to stay tuned to S2ki.com to see where they'll strike next.
 | Eli from Speed Alliance proves that the right set of wheels and a respectable drop make a huge impact on any S2000. | Darth Vader has nothing on "AlexS2200's" sinister black intimidator. A Spoon hood, fenders and hardtop compliment the J's Racing 3-D wing and Volk CEs. One of the most aggressive looking S2Ks we've ever come across. |
John (neveronlines2k) brought out his spotless gunmetal chariot perched on Prodrive rollers and ASM's sleek dry-carbon spoiler. | BJ from Panda Garage made his way out to the event. | T.J. Luteman, a San Diego local, clued us into the event and helped us identify some of the car owners. He owns this Sultry Red S2K with yet another set of new wheels. Don't blink because he changes wheels more often than most people change their oil. |
 | Also from Speed Alliance was Don, aka "BSerious," rocking classic Volk TE37s. We dare you to find a Honda that doesn't look good on TE's. | |
Stacking up on the quality aero, "DeeQs2k" added an INGs+1 rear bumper with C-West valence upgrades and J's Racing overfenders for a unique look. | Fred, aka "Rise," knows exactly what he's doing. Chargespeed front bumper, INGs+1 side skirts and rear bumper and SSRs put him a step ahead of the crowd. | |
