Keeping It Quiet - Street Level - Built For Daily Stoke - 1999 Honda Civic Si

In lieu of a costly engine management computer, Sierant's squeezed 356.5 hp and 257.7 lb-ft of torque with the stock ECU. A Walbro fuel pump feeds C16 fuel to a set of RC Engineering 440cc injectors. A Cartech FMU ensures additional fuel through the STR rail as boost rises. An A'PEXi V-AFC detunes the injectors for a steady idle and smooth midrange.

Spark is enhanced with MSD 8.5mm wires and a 6AL ignition coupled with a Blaster SS coil. An MSD Boost Timing Master controls what the factory ECU can't. An Optima yellow top battery mounted within a Taylor aluminum box provides necessary voltage. A JDM, Civic Type-R valve cover and Spoon Sports radiator cap and reservoir socks spruce up the engine bay.

Finally, the otherwise OEM gearbox gets a Quaife limited slip, ClutchNet six-puck race clutch and Integra Type R flywheel.

Rims & RubberServing street duties are gunmetal-finished 17x7.5 RAYS Engineering Gram Lights mounted to Falken ZIEX ZE-512 tires sized at 205/40ZR-17. At the track, the Si slips into 13x7 Axis Lenso drag rims, also in gunmetal, with 25x8 M&H slicks providing the contact patch.

StanceGround Control coil-overs drop the Civic and allow for at-the-track ride height adjustments. A Spoon Sports front strut bar connects to both towers under the hood. Out back, the rear lower control arms have been chromed along with a 22mm Progress Group sway bar. Energy Suspension polyurethane motor mount inserts keep the engine from rocking violently during hard launches.

ResistanceStockFashionOutside: Sierant decided to forego the widebody kit idea and followed a more subtle path. Besides the OEM optional rear underbody spoiler, all that sets this Si apart from the pack are an Airwalker front bumper, JDM Civic Si-R thin side moldings and a VIS Racing carbon-fiber hood. Other enhancements only noticed by the trained eye include JDM Civic Type-R headlights sporting a Hanabi H.I.D. headlight kit, JDM parking decal and JDM illuminated license plate frame. Vision carbon-fiber mirrors replace the stock ones.

Inside: Serving race duty is a pair of Sparco Sprint seats accompanied by Jaz five-point racing harnesses and surrounded by a six-point roll bar custom fabricated by Neverlift Racecraft. Other enhancements include a Sparco Flash 3 steering wheel, Spoon Sports shift knob and an assortment of Auto Meter gauges, including tachometer, boost pressure, pyrometer, oil pressure and fuel pressure. A GReddy turbo timer also rests inside, allowing for a proper cool-down period.

I.C.E.A stock CD player and optional tape deck provide tunes for Sierant's Civic.
