AFE '06-'08 Civic Cold Air Intakes
Advanced FLOW engineering (aFe), an industry leader in performance cold air intakes, filters and exhaust systems has just released their new Stage 2 cold air intake system for the 1.8L '06-'08 Honda Civic. They're offering two systems: the first features a large 6-inch, 360-degree high-flow washable/reusable Pro 5R aFe filter for maximum filtration and flow, the second, the Pro-Dry S filter, is also a 6-inch, 360-degree high-flow piece and represents the new breed of filters that produces increased filtration and flow but requires no oil. Both kits come with a one-piece, 16-gauge aluminum housing to provide a cooler intake charge for increased performance. aFe claims recent testing with the Pro 5R filter's yielded 4 hp at 6,000 rpm, 5 lb-ft of torque at 4,900 rpm and an 89 percent increase in airflow when compared to the factory intake system. Such pressures result when large air masses are forced through single or multi-stacked radiator cores.
