AFE '06-'08 Civic Cold Air Intakes
Advanced FLOW engineering (aFe), an industry leader in performance cold air intakes, filters and exhaust systems has just released their new Stage 2 cold air intake system for the 1.8L '06-'08 Honda Civic. They're offering two systems: the first features a large 6-inch, 360-degree high-flow washable/reusable Pro 5R aFe filter for maximum filtration and flow, the second, the Pro-Dry S filter, is also a 6-inch, 360-degree high-flow piece and represents the new breed of filters that produces increased filtration and flow but requires no oil. Both kits come with a one-piece, 16-gauge aluminum housing to provide a cooler intake charge for increased performance. aFe claims recent testing with the Pro 5R filter's yielded 4 hp at 6,000 rpm, 5 lb-ft of torque at 4,900 rpm and an 89 percent increase in airflow when compared to the factory intake system. Kits retail for $269.41 and $263.53, respectively.

Mishimoto Fit Carbon Intake System
Mishimoto is proud to announce a new line of intake systems for the '07 and up Honda Fit, which it says is going to revolutionize airflow into your L-series engine. Hand-laid with highly durable, aerospace quality carbon-Kevlar, Mishimoto's kit replaces Honda's factory issue with a piece capable of providing much cooler incoming air temperatures. These OEM-fitting intake systems feature flared edges enabling the supplied filter to breath larger quantities of air when compared to the more traditional intake systems. Kits retail for $320 and include a four-layer cotton and aluminum mesh high-flow air filter along with all of the components necessary for an easy install. They're even lifetime warrantied to take one last thing off your mind.

Spal High-Output Fan
Doing a swap? Need more cooling? Check out SPAL USA's new AP90 High Output series electric cooling fans. The AP90 is engineered for maximum output at high-static pressures. Such pressures result when large air masses are forced through single or multi-stacked radiator cores. As airflow becomes restricted by the core's density, a pressure differential is created causing the fan to work harder. The AP90 features a proprietary new curved blade design and is available in 11-, 12- and 16-inch sizes with flow ratings as high as 1,953 cfm. SPAL engineers and manufactures its own parts, including the motor, blades and shroud ensuring that the unit works in harmony. The AP90 features rigid, glass-filled nylon blades, dynamically balanced internally and externally to minimize vibration. All fan motors are sealed and balanced and the entire assembly is high-heat resistant, meaning the fan can be expected to outlive the vehicle in which it is installed.
