2008 marks the fifth year of Eibach's annual Honda meet in Corona, Calif. Events held in May typically bring hot weather and dry air but this year was different. Temperatures reached boiling points and beyond with the day's high at just over 100 degrees F and no sign of a breeze for miles. Nevertheless, die-hard Honda guys and gals weren't about to let Mother Nature deny them from attending what has become the year's most anticipated Honda event ever.

After four years of organizing one of the nation's largest Honda events, Eibach's Ryan Hoegner and Honda Tuning contributors Ben Howard and some guy by the name of Rodrez have finally found the winning formula. Utilizing a program that eliminated years past's massive traffic jam woes, this year's roll-in went off without a hitch. Many were shocked at how quickly they were able to verify their spots and pick up flyers and raffle tickets. It didn't happen in the blink of an eye but it was fast.

Like before, new trends were spotted quickly. Shaved and tucked engine bays stuffed with K engines and custom one-off upgrades were seen at every turn. Right-hand drives were out once again in full force, adding more members to the right-hand-drive army and occupying a considerable percentage of the cars there. Old schoolers represented well with an abundance of DAs and EFs sporting period-correct wheels and JDM-inspired armor. On the wilder side of things, Hasport debuted an innocent looking EG body Civic with a V-6 somehow shoehorned into its bay. We can only imagine the kind of damage this swap will incur on innocent bystanders once it becomes commonplace.

The biggest difference this year was the addition of Eibach's spare warehouse, which was used for VIP parking. Packed with chairs and tables for patrons to eat, drink, and relax, the shaded bay offered many a chance to escape that unyielding super nova perched overhead throughout the day. Those who braved the sun had a chance to stop by their favorite manufacturer in "vendor row" to ask questions, gather information, and free handouts. Source Interlink Media's own Greg "Yamz" Yamamoto was seen greeting fans and handing out freebies all day long from Honda Tuning's first-ever Eibach meet booth.

The weather may have affected attendance this year but the Eibach meet is still going strong and, of course, everyone's already asking when the next one will strike. Stay tuned to www.nwp4life.com and other popular Honda forums for the lowdown on next year's meet.
